Welcome Letter

Dear colleagues and friends, 

On behalf of the organizing committee, we have great pleasure to invite you to attend the first Asian Congress of Neuromodulation and 2010 Annual Meeting of Chinese Neuromodulation Society (CNS) which will be held at Pullman Beijing West Wanda Hotel from October 29 to October 31, 2010. 

In September last year, on the board meeting of the 9th Congress of International Neuromodulation Society (INS), the INS encouraged country chapters to co-operate and communicate so as to promote the development of neuromodulation in regional wide. According to the spirit of the meeting, we decided to have the 1st Asian Congress of Neuromodulation jointed with the Annual Meeting of the CNS. 

The CNS was founded under the INS in February of 2009 and has been accepted by Chinese government this year. The Mission of the CNS is to promote and disseminate the science, education, practice and accessibility of all aspects of neuromodulation. 


It is our great honor to have invited Prof. Simon J. Thomson, the President of INS,               Prof. Robert M. Levy, the Editor-in-Chief of Neuromodulation Journal, Prof. Uhn Lee, the President of Korea Neuromodulation Society and Prof. Takaomi Taira, the President of World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery etc. to be our guest speakers.

It has been the heart and soul of politics and society throughout its long history and consequently there is an unparalleled wealth of discovery to delight and intrigue travelers as they explore Beijing's ancient past and enjoy its exciting modern development. Within the city, you will still find some of China most stunning sights: the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven Park, the Lama Temple and the Great Wall, to name just a few.
